Tuesday Study Club photograph collection

 Collection
Identifier: P0572

Scope and Contents

The Tuesday Study Club was founded in 1952 by Salt Lake women who wanted to keep their minds alert through learning about themselves, the world, the arts, and political happenings. They met and continue to meet every first and third Tuesday of the month from September until May. Their meetings usually consist of a speaker who educates the group on topics such as religion, cultures of the world, political ideologies, and art. The Tuesday Study Club also takes excursions to local plays and museums. The collection details in candid photographs the social activities of the Tuesday Study Club. Although the photographs span twenty years, all of the subject matter is similar. All photographs are color.
