Biographical Note
Leland Irvine was born on February 7, 1909 in Salt Lake City. He grew up in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School and the University of Utah with a degree in Engineering. He had many accomplishments throughout his life, including being the president of the Utah Lumber Comapny, founding partner of Acoustical Engineers, and president of Salt Lake Kiwanis Club. He married Ada Chamberlin in 1933.
Ada Chamberlin Irvine was born on September 23, 1910 in Salt Lake City. She grew up in Salt Lake City as well and also attended West High School and the University of Utah, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education. Ada is said to have been a hardworking artists in many fields of visual art. Many of her works have been exhibited in art museums and galleries across Utah and other states. As an avid supporter of the arts, she served as a board member of the Repertory Dance Theater as well as the Board of the Children's Dance Theater. She married Leland Irvine in 1933.
