Biographical Note
Jerry Dixon earned Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Utah in 1970 and 1973. An extreme sports, outdoors and travel enthusiast, Dixon currently participates in the University of Utah's Environmental Humanities Graduate Program by helping students travel to locations like Brazil, Costa Rica, Moose, Wyoming and Castle Valley, Utah to study what Environmental Humanitites Dean Robert Newman describes as "our relationship and responsibility to life on our planet, from environmental degradation and their consequences in human dispossession, species extinction, and sustainability as well as in ethical, health, and public policy concerns."
