Scope and Contents

The Tanner family home movies (circa 1960s) consist of family films from a variety of settings, people, and activities, mostly centered around Hayward, California. The films were taken by William and Hertha Tanner, who grew up in Salt Lake City and Sandy, Utah respectively. The films contain video of family gatherings, community events, and outdoor footage in various locations. All films have been digitized and are available to view on the DVD described in this finding aid.

Biographical Note

William "Bill" Tanner and Hertha Tanner grew up in Salt Lake City and Sandy, Utah. William became an oral surgeon and Hertha a homemaker. During the time these films were taken, the family was living in Hayward, California with their children Judy, Justin, Valen, Clelen, and Kylan.
