Scope and Contents
George S. Tanner has done extensive research on the Mormon Settlements in Arizona and in the John Tanner family. He Himself is a great-grandson of John Tanner and his parents, Henry M. Tanner and Eliza Ellen Parkinson Tanner, were among the early settlers of Joseph City, Arizona. He is the author of several books, including John Tanner and His Family, a History-Biography and Colonization on the Little Colorado: The Joseph City Region. The photographs in his collection are portraits of family members.
