Biographical Note
Born in Nephi, Utah, Norma Warenski lived in Philadelphia and San Francisco before moving to Salt Lake City. Norma attended East High School where she met her future husband, Scott Matheson. The couple were married in 1951, and had four children: Scott, Jr., James, Thomas, and Lu. Since Scott's death from cancer in 1990, Norma continues speaking out on issues related to child advocacy, education, and wilderness preservation.
