Scope and Contents
The Robert L. Autry photograph collection consists of 2 folders: Folder 1 contains 13 color slides taken at ParkWest during the 1970s. Folder 2 contains 42 digtial files 1968-1969, these original images were loaned to the library and were scanned and then returned to the donor. Proof sheets with thumbnails of the images have been printed and placed the folder for research purposes. The image files can be requested, but the library no longer has the original images.

Biographical / Historical
Robert Lee "Bob" Autry (1931-2014) graduated in 1959 from the University of Nevada with a BS in Physical Education. Autry was the Ski School Director and Assistant Vice President at Park City West, as well as a teacher at Alta Ski resort and China Peak. He worked as the Director of the Video Department at Mammoth Ski Resort, producing ski videos for EPSN, the National Ski Patrol Association, and the U.S. Ski Team. He helped design and build ski resorts such as Park City West, China Peak, and Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. Autry coached the Mammoth Ski Team alongside founder Dave McCoy.

Abstract
The Robert "Bob" Autry photograph collection contains images of the ParkWest ski resort, now known as Canyons Resort, from its opening in 1968 through the 1970s. The images depict skiers skiing on the mountain, a ski class with Bob Autry, construction on the resort, aerial views of the Snyderville area, and Bob Autry with his son.
This collection is entirely digitalized and available online in our Digital Library.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Donated by Dave Amidon in December 2002. Digital images recieved in October 2007 and October 2008 from Bob Autry.
