The Phil Larsen Andersen photograph collection consists of 1 box containing 393 black-and-white photographs and copy prints, color photographs, and postcards. The majority of the images relate to Phil Andersen's service in the United States military during World War II. The collection also contains images documenting Andersen's life and family before and after his military service. The material was collected in preparation for a book about Phil Andersen's military experiences and life.

Biographical Note
Phil Larsen Andersen was born on April 22, 1926 in Spring City, Utah to Ada Maranda Larsen and Niels Joseph Andersen. He served in the United States military during World War II. On March 18, 1948, he married Barbara Jean Erickson; together, they had four children. Andersen worked for Mountain Bell telephone company, retiring as a marketing manager after 30 years. Phil Andersen died on April 4, 2001.

Phil Larsen Andersen (1926-2001) served in the United States military during World War II. This colleciton contains black-and-white and color photographs and postcards documenting Andersen's military service in Germany at the end and in the immediate aftermath of World War II.
