Scope and Contents

The Henry and Rulah Bryce slide collection consists of 2 boxes containing 1,256 color slides depicting the Bryce family travels, holidays, outdoor activities, and family events. In addition to Utah, the collection depicts Arizona, Montana, and Yellowstone, Wyoming. The images date from 1958 to 1980. The slides in box 1 are dated. The slides in box 2 are primarily undated.

Biographical Note

Henry Warren Bryce was born on April 3, 1928 in Timpson, Texas, to Beatrice Shipp and Emery Bryce. Rulah Pearl Sorensen was born on March 7, 1925 to Amanda H. Sahlberg and Leo M. Sorensen in Spring City, Utah. They married on April 3, 1948; together, they had five children. They were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Henry Bryce worked as a locomotive engineer at Kennecott Copper Corporation. Rulah Bryce was a homemaker and worked for the Granite School District. Henry Warren Bryce died on March 18, 1999. Rulah Sorenson Bryce died on February 22, 2008.

Abstract

Henry Warren Bryce (1928-1999) and Rulah Sorenson Bryce (1925-2008) were a married couple who lived in Utah during the twentieth century. The Henry and Rulah Bryce slide collection contains color slides depicting the Bryce family vacations, outdoor activities, holidays, and family events in various Western states from 1958 to 1980.
