Biographical / Historical

The Utah Watercolor Society (UWS) was founded December 30, 1974 as a non-profit organization. The mission of UWS is to elevate the stature of watercolor as an art medium and to educate the public as to the significance of watercolor and the importance of creativity. The organization supports annual exhibitions of watercolors, along with monthly member meetings.

The UWS is a member society of the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies.

The collection was arranged into the following series: 1. Administrative materials; 2. Events; 3. Financial materials; 4. Membership materials; 5. Exhibitions; 6. Workshops; 7. Western Federation of Watercolor Societies; and 8. Oversize materials.
