Scope and Contents
The George L. Hoggan photograph collection consists of 1 box containing pages from an album (deconstructed before donation) and loose black-and-white photograph prints and souvenir photographs documenting George Lynn Hoggan's service in the Eastern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The bulk of the photographs date from 1922-1923, during Hoggan's mission, with an additional photograph of Los Angeles Bishopric members dating from 1950.

Biographical / Historical
George Lynn Hoggan was born on 1899 April 17 in Manti, Utah to Esther Izenna Braithwaite and George Walter Hoggan. Hoggan served in the United States Army during World War I. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hoggan served in the Eastern States Mission from 1921 July 12 through 1923 October 2. On 1925 September 24, Hoggan married Golda Pearl Dansie; together, they had at least one child. George L. Hoggan died on 1994 January 9 in Norco, California.

Abstract
The George L. Hoggan photograph collection contains album pages and loose photographs primarily documenting Hoggan's service in the Eastern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints between 1922 and 1923.
Arrangement
Folders 1 and 3 are organized by Subject. Folder 2 contains the pages of a photo album, removed from their album prior to donation. The photos are identified by the album's compiler. Folders 4-5 are organized chronologically.
