Scope and Contents These 6 ledgers contain almost 15,000 manuscript claims and cover 65 years (with only a handful of gaps) of D&RGRR operations in Utah. Each property claims ledger has printed columns with headline subjects: Date; Engine; Train; Engineer or Conductor; Location; Nature of Accident; Brands or Marks; Claimant; [Money] Claimed; [Money] Paid; Papers to; Remarks. The majority of the claims are for losses of cattle, horses, vehicle damage and field (usually from crop fires) for the Utah division.
