Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Donna Toland Smart papers (1846-1888 and 1938-2015) contain correspondence and research files, note cards, diary transcripts, and manuscript drafts. The bulk of the collection is related to Mormon Midwife: The 1846-1888 Diaries of Patty Bartlett Sessions, edited by Smart and published by Utah State University Press in 1997. She has also published works on Perrigrine Sessions and Parley P. Pratt.
