Scope and Contents Allen (b. 1915) recalls his Montana childhood and entering the U. S. Navy at seventeen. He recalls his first tour of duty from 1932 to 1936 on the light cruiser. His second tour of duty was from 1936 to 1940. He then served from 1940 to 1954.
