Scope and Contents Burdette (b. 1924) recalls his childhood in Salt Lake City. He entered the army in 1943 and was shipped to Camp Barley, Texas, where he received training as a medical corpsman. He was stationed in New Guinea, Australia, Biak, and the Philippines.
