Scope and Contents Wilson (b. 1922) grew up in Bountiful, Utah. He discusses his family and his schooling years. In his senior year of high school he joined the Utah National Guard and was inducted into federal service in March 1941. He trained in San Louis Obispo, California before being sent to the Hawaiian Islands on the SS Maui.
