Scope and Contents Johnson (b. 1923) joined the Navy in December 1942. He took basic training in Farragut, Idaho, and attended electrician school prior to being assigned to ASBD-1 (Advanced Base Sectional Drydock) in Espirito Santo, New Hebrides. Interviewed by Becky Lloyd.
