Scope and Contents Farnsworth (b. 1924) enlisted in the Army Air Corps in October 1942. His basic training took place in Santa Ana, California. He received primary flight training at Thunderbird Air Force Base in Chandler, Arizona, and training for the B-17 in Texas and New Mexico.
