The Andrew Love Neff papers (1851-1940) consist mainly of materials related to Neff's book History of Utah. Neff (1878-1936) was head of the Department of History and Political Science at the University of Utah. Also present in the collection are personal materials, correspondence, and papers concerning Utah and World War I.

He also founded the Gay and Lesbian Utah Democrats (GLUD), an organization that lobbied for the rights of, and promoted participation within, the gay community in local and national politics.
