Leo R. Newfarmer (1909-1998) was a geologist for Shell Oil Company from about 1935 until his retirement in 1968. This colleciton contains photographs of Newfarmer, Jimmy Doolittle, and others while they were conducting oil exploration in Alaska for Shell in the 1950s.

The Newton's Principia exhibition records (1987-1988) consist of materials relating to an exhibit and lecture series held in February 1988 at the University of Utah in honor of the 300th anniversary of the publication of Isaac Newton's Principia. The complete title of the exhibit was "Newton's 'Principia': Understanding the Gravity of the Situation."

Nichiren Buddhist Temple records
The Nichiren Buddhist Temple records (1954-2003) contain correspondence, financial reports, membership records, the church newsletter, and other documents pertaining to the Nichiren Buddhist Temple. The temple (which dates from 1971-1991) was operated in Salt Lake City by Yosh Ito and Reverend Kanai Skokai. There were more than two hundred members, a large percentage of whom were Japanese Americans.
