Abstract The McIntyre Ranch digital photograph collection contains personal family photographs and images relating to cattle ranching during the mid 20th Century. Images include snapshots of family members at their home in Salt Lake City and on the McIntyre Ranch in Leamington, Utah. Also included are photographs of men branding calves, Angus Breeders Field Day, a prize Angus bull, and horses on the McIntyre Ranch.

Abstract The David Oman McKay papers (1897-1983) contain correspondence, diaries, notebooks, scrapbooks, speeches, and sermons relating to the personal and ecclesiastical life of David O. McKay (1873-1970), ninth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church/Mormon Church). The collection is divided into four sections and also contains materials relating to members of McKay's family, including his wife, Emma Ray; his daughter, Lou Jean; and his son, David Lawrence (David L.)....

Guy R. McKay papers

Abstract The Guy R. McKay papers (1935-1954) consist of an original and photocopy of a report by McKay titled "The American Flag Mine." The report was intended to furnish geological and engineering data to accompany an application of the Park City Development Company for listing its stock on the Salt Lake City Stock and Mining Exchange. A photocopy of McKay's obituary is also included in the collection.

Llewelyn R. McKay papers

Abstract The Llewelyn Riggs McKay papers (1911-1960) contain correspondence, newspaper clippings, reports and articles. Of special note is a bound volume consisting of a typescript of McKay's missionary journal and correspondence, complied and edited by his children, Douglas R. McKay and Bonnie M. Nelson. This collection also includes many original letters between the McKay family throughout McKay's schooling, teaching and army service.

Abstract Llewelyn Riggs McKay (1904-1975) was a professor at the University of Utah who served as head of the Language Department from 1945 until 1965. His father, David O. McKay, was the ninth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This collection contains portraits of Llewelyn McKay, David O. McKay, and photographs of the McKay family. It also contains photographs documenting the mission that Llewelyn McKay served in Germany between 1922 and 1925.

Abstract The Patrick W. McKendrick papers (1936-1939) consist of McKendrick's hand-written manuscript, as well as a typescript, describing his metal recycling project at the Salt Lake City garbage dump. McKendrick staked a mineral claim at the dump during the 1930s and began a sluice operation to recover the iron, gold, and silver left by decomposing cans and garbage.
