The Alice Merrill Horne papers (1938-1979) consist of two letters, an enclosure addressed to Judge Tillman B. Johnson that were found in the Shepherd Scrapbook of Utah's Third Legislature, and a retrospective exhibition program of the painter Lee Greene Richards by Horne.

Abstract
The Alice Lovina Manning papers (1883-1949) contain a paper written by Manning on women's rights in Utah, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a family history, report cards, and a biography. Manning (1877-1944), originally from Iowa came to Utah in 1897, she graduated from the University of Utah and was a teacher for several years. The Alice Lovina Manning photograph collection contains materials that reflect the life of Alice Lovina Manning(1877-1944) was a teacher and legal secretary who became a laywer for Union Pacific railroad. She was the fourth woman to be admitted into the Utah bar. This collection contains portraits of Manning and pictures of her descendent Alice E. Manning Whipple at a 1998 event honoring Utah women in law.
