The Jefferson Davis letter to Sidney Webster (1859) informs the latter that Colonel Steptoe's nomination as governor of Utah received the U.S. Senate's confirmation on 21 December 1854.

The Harry Haines papers (1890s-1910s) contain an assortment of political cartoons, which Haines drew and submitted Salt Lake Tribune while he was employed there in the late 1890s.

The J. Michael Hansen letter was written to the Utah Congressional Delegation regarding beginning the impeachment process of President George W. Bush.

The Meghan Zanolli Holbrook papers (1995-2013) contain correspondence, articles and newspaper clippings, campaign material, and various organizational documents from Holbrook's tenure as Democratic Party chair as well as her other political and local work.

The Alice Merrill Horne papers (1938-1979) consist of two letters, an enclosure addressed to Judge Tillman B. Johnson that were found in the Shepherd Scrapbook of Utah's Third Legislature, and a retrospective exhibition program of the painter Lee Greene Richards by Horne.

The Thomas Kearns scrapbooks (1899-1917) consist mainly of news clippings with random inclusions of correspondence, personal ephemera, and certificates of award.
