Garfield, Nauvoo House Association stock share notes, a Provo Volunteer Hose and Engine Co. note to his son-in-law, James Farrer, a biography, post cards, photocopied photographs, and news clippings. Roberts was a private in Company D of the Mormon Battalion under the command of Capt. Nelson Higgins.
George B. Sanderson journal
The George B. Sanderson journal (1846-1847) was written by Sanderson who was a doctor assigned by the U.S. Army to accompany the Mormon Battalion on the 2000 mile march from Missouri down the Santa Fe Trail and ultimately to California. The Mormon Battalion was initially under the command of Col. Allen, and after his death was under the command of Phillip St. George Cooke. Included in the collection is a typescript (1995) version of the journal.
