Redick N. Allred autobiography
The Redick N. Allred autobiography (1846-1847) consist of an account by Allred of his experiences in the Mormon Battalion.
John W. Anthan affidavit
The John W. Anthan affidavit (1858) was sworn before D. R. Eckels, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Utah Territory, alleging an assault by an Army wagonmaster upon Anthan. The affadavit bears Eckels' signature.
Thomas Bradley letter [photocopy]
The Thomas Bradley letter (1864) consist of one photocopied letter from Bradley to Brigadier General P. Edward Connor. Bradley writes from Fort Bridger asking for permission for his wife to become a laundress at the fort.

The Perry E. Brocchus papers (1846-1874) consist of certificates of membership to various fraternal orders, poetry, incoming letters, papers relating to Brocchus' service as a judge, news clippings, and a friend's will.
Lisle Brown research collection
The Lisle Brown research collection (1876-1877) contain photocopied diaries, typescripts of reminiscences, and histories of the Battle of the Little Bighorn and the U.S. Army's activities in the Yellowstone/Missouri River region. Lisle Brown, a librarian and historian at the University of Utah, collected these materials as he researched the Northern Plains Indian wars.
Carl Arvid Carlquist correspondence
The Carl Arvid Carlquist correspondence (1892-1893) consists of three letters, one from Carlquist to Utah Governor Caleb W. West, and two from West to Carlquist. Carlquist (1857-1938) was an immigrant from Sweden to Utah, a missionary to Sweden for the LDS Church, and a Utah businessman who was active in politics.

Samuel Parkinson Cowley collection
The Samuel Parkinson Cowley collection (1934) consist of a funeral report, supplemented by a memorial service address. Cowley (1899-1934) was a special agent with the U. S. Justice Department, Division of Investigations. He was killed in a shootout with "Baby Face" Nelson, becoming the first federal agent killed in the line of duty.
Alfred Cumming papers [microform]
The Alfred Cumming papers (1857-1865) consist of a microfilm copy of personal and official correspondence and a letterpress book relating to Cumming's service as Governor of Utah Territory, 1858-1861. Includes letters from Thomas L. Kane, Brigham Young, and his wife, Elizabeth Cumming; Cumming's personal record of those fleeing east from Utah while wintering with the Utah Expedition at Camp Scott, Wyoming; scrapbooks of national clippings from Cumming's term of office.
Benjamin Fanklin Cummings journal [typescript]
The Benjamin Fanklin Cummings journal [typescript] (1933) records the period 1857-1862 discussing mainly Cummings' military experiences and dealings with American Indians.

The James Ferguson papers contain a dispatch (1851) from Ferguson, the Adjutant General of the Nauvoo Legion, to Major Nathaniel V. Jones requesting prompt and regular company reports. Also included in the collection are news clippings.

The Frank Fuller papers (1863-1911) consist of certificates, a telegram, a letter from Daniel Hammer Wells, and news articles all pertaining to Frank Fuller (1827-1915), a secretary and acting governor of Utah Territory.

Nelson Higgins (1806-1890) was a church leader and Utah settler in the early LDS Church. He served as captain, major and colonel in the Nauvoo Legion. Elizabeth Mehaffy Howe manuscript
The collection consists of an unpublished manuscript written by Elizabeth Mehaffy Howe (b. 1860), author of Frontiersmen, published in 1931. The manuscript concerns the nineteenth-century American Indian Wars. Of particular interest are chapters on Latter-day Saints and Women in the West.
Richard Leveridge Hoxie notebooks [photocopies]
The Richard Leveridge Hoxie notebooks (1872-1873) contain a photocopy segment of his notebooks of the Wheeler Expedition, written during his service with the Army Corps of Engineers.
Jacob Johnson papers
The Jacob Johnson papers include a biography of Johnson written by his daughter, a photocopy of a speech before Congress in 1914, and a photocopy of Johnson's certificate of appointment to the bench of the Utah Territorial First District Court. Jacob Johnson was a Utah territorial era lawyer and judge and a Utah delegate to Congress. He practiced law in San Juan, Grand, and Emery counties, Utah.

The Zadok Knapp Judd autobiography (1902) and biography (2017) details the life of Judd and his wife Mary Minerva Dart, both early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
