Abstract
The Alice Lovina Manning papers (1883-1949) contain a paper written by Manning on women's rights in Utah, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a family history, report cards, and a biography. Manning (1877-1944), originally from Iowa came to Utah in 1897, she graduated from the University of Utah and was a teacher for several years. Eventually Manning became a legal secretary and she would go on to attain her law degree. Manning was honored as the fourth woman to be admitted into the Utah bar.
