The Ben E. Rich Southern States Mission scrapbook (1899-1902) documents LDS missionary and proselyting in the Southern States Mission (Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia). Included are conference reports, pamphlets, anti-Mormon sermons, clippings, and personal correspondence. Rich was a native of Salt Lake City who served as head of the Southern States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) from 1898 to 1908.

The Alton F. Richards papers (1839-1994) contains correspondence, family papers, teaching materials, church records, financial records, clippings and notes relating to the life of Alton Richards. Included are correspondence of his father, Ianthus P. Richards, and grandfather, Samuel W. Richards. Alton F. Richards was a mathematics teacher in the Ogden, Utah public schools. He also served as a bishop in the LDS Church during the 1940s.

The LeGrand Richards papers (1978-1979) contain a transcript of an interview with Richards by Wesley P. Walters and Chris Vlachos. The interview is about the revelation giving Black people the priesthood in the LDS Church. At the time of the revelation, Richards was an Apostle. Also included are copies of correspondence between Richards and the interviewers, a pamphlet containing the interview, and a photocopy of a published article in The Maze of Mormonism.
