The Karl C. Sandberg papers (1817-1996) consist of correspondence, meeting minutes, class handouts, articles, research notes, and newspaper clippings. Sandberg was an author of various language and religious texts.

The Susan Barbara Tallmon Sargent papers (1891-1973) consist of correspondence, journals, news clippings, reports, articles, guest books, and financial documents collected by Sargent's niece, Ardis Hitchcock, who was planning on writing a biography of Sargent, a medical missionary to China.

The Linda Sarver papers (1972-2012) consist of her costume designs and renderings, along with production materials for several theatrical plays she was involved with throughout her professional career. Sarver was a costume designer, educator, dramaturg, author, and scenographer.

The Jean Saubert papers (1956-1998) contain a scrapbook, magazine articles, newspaper, and map relating to her international ski career. Saubert was a member of the U.S. Olympic/World Championship ski teams in 1962, 1964, and 1966. She won silver and bronze medals in the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. She later taught in elementary schools in Colorado, Utah, and Oregon, and was a physical education instructor at Brigham Young University.

The Save Our Canyons records (1955-2013) contain administrative materials, correspondence, community outreach materials, court records, and news clippings pertaining to the committee’s efforts to promote environmental conservation and protect natural spaces along the Wasatch Front. Save Our Canyons (SOC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 in response to growing threats to natural spaces along the Wasatch Front.

This collection consists of items donated by World War II veterans in conjunction with their oral history interviews conducted by the American West Center. This collection is ongoing, and items will be added periodically.

The Frank E. Schefski papers (1895-1946) contain correspondence, photographs, and news clippings. Some of the news clippings are written by Schefski. Frank E. Schefski was a Salt Lake City sports news reporter, a political activist, and secretary to Mayor W. Mont Ferry, President of US Realty Company. The majority of news clippings, as well as correspondence, pertain to hunting and wildland management issues.

The John Schmitt papers (1879-2012) contains research materials pertaining to the McChrystal family, the Tintic Mining area, and Eureka. The McChrystal family arrived in Eureka from Michigan in 1877. Their life in Eureka and Salt Lake can be followed in various newspapers online such as The Salt Lake Tribune, Eureka Reporter and others. The Tintic Mining region is still active and increasing in importance.

The Anthony and Herbert Schwartz papers (1960-2003) consists of materials regarding the Winter Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah, along with other materials regarding ski resorts and skiing.

The Heber J. Sears papers (1897-1942) contain an index card to temple records, a letter to Florence Sears, a booklet composed by Sears of favorite poems, and two news clippings. Also included is correspondence from B.H. Roberts, James E. Talmage, and Heber J. Grant. Sears was a former professor at the University of Utah, physician and surgeon.

The Luella Seeholzer collection on Beaver Mountain Ski Area consists of clippings related to the skiing career of Harold Seeholzer and the operation of Beaver Mountain Ski Area. Also included is a photocopy and transcription of a handwritten autobiography by Harold Seeholzer, 1962.

The Adrien and Emilie Segil papers (1825-1987) contain a scrapbook and general materials relating to Adrien and Emilie's fashion retail business.

The Sol J. Selvin papers (1937-1982) consist of certificates, biographies, legislative documents, correspondence, and news clippings concerning Solomon "Sol" Joseph Selvin (1878-1958), a former Utah Senator and businessman.

The Service Star Legion records (1905-1985) contain materials concerning the Salt Lake County Chapter, the Utah Division, and the National group of the Service Star Legion (SSL). The SSL was a patriotic society, which had its beginnings in Maryland during World War I (WWI). It was organized in Utah, and called that Salt Lake County Chapter, also known as the War Mothers.

The Shared Ministry in Utah records (1959-1997) consist of documents relating to the operation and activity of Utah's Shared Ministry, a ministry composed of multiple denominations. A majority of the collection focuses on the ministry's involvement with campus life, mainly at the University of Utah.

The Margaret Condie Sharp papers (1872-1924, 2003) contain an 1872 diary and two articles about Sharp. Margaret Condie Sharp (1839-1928) came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1862. Sharp's husband, Joseph Sharp, died when she was twenty five, leaving her to raise six children alone.

The Tracey Wendell and Leone Sorensen Shepherd papers (1912-1987) contain personal and family documents. Included are birth, marriage, and death materials; greeting cards; piano music and instruction; news clippings; and family histories. Tracey Wendell Shepherd (1903-1982) grew up in Paris, Idaho, where he attended Fielding Academy. He married Leone Sorensen (1900-1987), a piano instructor, in Salt Lake City in 1923.

The Richard Farnham Sherwood papers (1942-1991) consist of personal papers, WWII Air Force materials, information pertaining to the Senior World Exchange Program and political activism materials.
