He spent the majority of his career focused on the psychology of dreams for which he traveled around the world to do several field studies.
Charles N. Strevell papers
The Charles N. Strevell papers (1894-1943) contain correspondence, family history, essays, speeches, publications, art work, posters, pamphlets, brochures, news clippings, and other related materials. Strevell was one of the organizers of Strevell-Paterson Hardware Company and was the president for many years before his retirement in 1912. He became well known for his essay, "Dinosauropodes,"" which was published several times during the 1930s.

The University of Utah Department of Anthropology audio collection (circa 1960s-1970s) consists of commercially published audio recordings representing various cultures and ethnic groups. The recordings consist largely of musical traditions of Native American tribes and other cultures around the world. These materials were collected as teaching materials by the Univeristy of Utah Department of Anthropology.
