The Marriott Employees Staff Association contains photographs documenting activities of the Marriott Library Staff Association, commonly known as MESA. The Marriott Library staff participated in various activities, officer elections, and gatherings.

The Marriott Employees Staff Association records (1983-2003) consist of materials generated by members of this Marriott Library group, otherwise known as MESA. The records include governing documents (such as by-laws), administrative correspondence, membership information, staff surveys, event planning and announcements, financial records, newsletters and literary magazines, meeting minutes, and miscellaneous items.

The Marriott Library Exhibits Committee records (1968-1982) document the various exhibits held at the Marriott Library. When the library first opened in 1968, a committee was formed and their displays were shown in the library atrium.

The Marriott Library records (1962-1981) contain library reports, manuals, statistics, budgets, funding records, and an architectural planning guide. The J. Willard Marriott Library is the University of Utah's main library.

The H. Leo Marshall papers (1950-1969) consist of a summarized history of the University of Utah College of Medicine, a personalized story of the University of Utah College of Medicine, a typescript of the Tooele Marshall Family, and a speech given by Marshall for the Centennial Convocation in 1950. Marshall was a professor of public health and preventive medicine at the University of Utah.

The Dean May photograph collection contains photographs of Dean May demonstrating the normal life of an assistant professor. May running on a treadmill while breathing into a device and a discussion of Gootlieb and Wiley book at the Hinckley Institute.

The Jerilyn S. McIntyre papers (1845-2015) consist of writings, research materials, teaching materials, administrative and professional materials. Jerilyn S. McIntyre is president emerita of Central Washington University and also holds emerita status as interim President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and professor of communication at the University of Utah.

The Llewelyn Riggs McKay papers (1911-1960) contain correspondence, newspaper clippings, reports and articles. Of special note is a bound volume consisting of a typescript of McKay's missionary journal and correspondence, complied and edited by his children, Douglas R. McKay and Bonnie M. Nelson. This collection also includes many original letters between the McKay family throughout McKay's schooling, teaching and army service.

The Sterling M. McMurrin papers (1830-2001) chronicle McMurrin's life as family man, student, educator, administrator, U.S. Commissioner of Education, philosopher, observer and critic of Western culture and religion, and participant in LDS culture. The papers (1830-2006) consist of correspondence, scrapbooks, daily planners, interviews, academic materials, governmental papers, speeches, lectures, publications, manuscripts, and awards.

The Charles H. Monson papers (1924-1981) reflect the academic and teaching career of Charles H. Monson Jr. (1924-1974), a well-known authority on the subject of philosophy. Included are correspondence, day books, resumes, news articles, lecture notes and outlines, essays, reports, pamphlets, programs, and manuscripts for published writings, among other papers.

The Charles H. Monson photograph collection consists of portraits of Monson's immediate family including some group school portraits, and Monson's wedding picture. Also includes Monson's professional work with the University of Utah's PBS station, KUED and various awards or recognitions for his work in telecommunications.

The Harold Moore papers (1966-1973) consist of correspondence with writers in regards to the University of Utah's annual Writers' Conferences and other documents including announcements of the Writers' Conference (1966-1973). Moore was a professor of English at the University of Utah (1958-1992) and director of the University of Utah Writers' Conference.

The Harold Moore photograph collection consists of images of writers who attended the annual Writer's Conference and various other prominent authors.

The Gordon Neff papers (1944-2007) contain the transcript of an interview with Neff (b. 1927) conducted by Marsha Lundgren at his home in Salt Lake City, and a copy the scrapbook detailing his football career.

The Russell Marion Nelson papers (1942-2003) contain manuscripts, publications, working boards, certificates, and plaques relating to Nelson's career. Nelson is an internationally renowned cardiothoracic surgeon. Along with his professional career, he has held many positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including being called as an Apostle in 1984.

The William Wallace Newby papers (1930-1971) consist of personal and professional materials concerning William Newby (1902-1977), a professor of biology at the University of Utah from 1927-1971. Included are biographical information, obituary notices, an oral history transcript, numerous hand drawn and reproduced illustrations, and literature and correspondence pertaining to the Aztec Club, of which Newby was president from 1965-1966.

This collection contains the professional and personal history of L. Jackson Newell. Many of these items contain interviews between Newell and his collegues at the University of Utah and Deep Spring Colleges.

The Hugh Nibley papers (1970) consist of two versions of a burlesque on BYU written for the Brigham Young University Women's Program. The first version was censored. Also included is a speech given at the University of Utah.
