The Charles R. and Jane A. Thompsen World War II airplane gunner films (circa 1942) consist of seven short clips of 16mm film recorded from a gun turret on an airplane during combat.

The David Brighton Timmins papers (1968-1989) consist primarily of materials relating to Dr. Timmins career in the United States Foreign Service, including correspondence, State Department memoranda, reports, and official documents. Also included are documents relating to his role in the establishment of the Department of Economics at Weber State University and papers regarding his tenure teaching economics at Instituto Tecnologico Y De Estudios Superiores De Monterrey.

The Tooele Army Depot photograph collection contains images from the War Department showing various views of the Tooele Army Depot during World War II, including an aerial view and photographs of buildings and activities.

The Don Trimble papers (1928-2002) contain essays, research papers, United States Geological Survey bulletins, photographs and negatives, arrowheads, and books with annotations. Trimble served in World War II as an Army anti-aircraft officer in the South Pacific. Mr. Trimble joined the United States Geological Survey in 1946 and worked to map the western United States.

U.S.S. Salt Lake City photograph collection contains photographs of the launching of the U.S.S. Salt Lake City on January 23, 1929 and associated activities. The collection also includes a photograph of Reed Smoot with other attending dignitaries.

The U.S.S. Utah Radio Press News consists of four mimeographed sheets discussing international and domestic news transmitted via wireless. The newsletter was created on April 8, 1938.

The Utah Council of Defense records (1917-1919) includes correspondence, minutes, reports, receipts, and other papers regarding this 1917 federally-appointed Utah council.

The Utah Test and Training Range photograph collection consists of aerial photographs of various sites which are parts of the Utah Test and Training Range. Photographs were taken by Roy Webb from a helicopter as part of an ongoing cultural resource study of the UTTR and surrounding areas sponsored by the National Parks Service and the U.S. Air Force.

The Stewart Van Vliet papers (1859-1980) contain articles concerning Van Vliet as well as photocopies of photographs and correspondence. Van Vliet (1815-1901) was an army officer who supplied armies in the Utah War and the American Civil War.

The Veterans Day records (1998-2003) contain materials related to annual Veterans Day events held at the University of Utah, including correspondence, budgets, lists of honorees and nominees, photos of the celebration, and media information.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Atomic Post 4355 records (1962-1992) contain the post's financial, real estate, day to day receipts, and documents concerning community service.

The Vietnam War oral history project (2010-2014) is an ongoing oral history program designed to document the history of Vietnam War veterans from Utah.

The Weeks family correspondence (1935-1945) were written before and during the Second World War by members of the Weeks family in Victor, Idaho and Teton, Wyoming. Some members of the family were serving in the armed forces and wrote letters from various camps.

The John Werner Welland papers (1951-2000) consist of materials that focus on Welland's career in the United States Air Force. Included are correspondence, diplomas, medical and personnel records, passports, death records, and other papers. Welland (1933-1991) was born in New York and was one of many who became known as an "Atomic Veteran" due his work for the Air Force during the atmospheric nuclear testing program carried out by the United States in the 1940s to 1960s.

The Wendover Air Force Base collection consists of handwritten and photographic description of life at Wendover Air Force Base during 1944-1945 by Marguerite McQuiston, Special Services Hostess at the base. Also included are handwritten excerpts from books on the history of the town of Wendover, a reprint on the Western Pacific Railroad, and a 1972 map of the city of Elko, Nevada.

The Wendover Utah Air Base photograph collection contains photographs that depict daily life as well as USO and recreational activities at the Wendover, Utah, Army Air Base during World War II.

The Emil Morris Whitesides papers (1917-2003) consist of personal correspondence during his participation in World War I (1917-1919), along with an autobiography titled, Things I Remember Most and Things I have Been Told. The autobiography was compiled in 2003 by Whitesides descendants and tells about his experience in the military, his missionary work, family life, and various activities.

The Bartlett Wicks papers (1871-1969) concentrate mainly on Wicks (1895-1981), a member of the American Ambulance Field Service, and his experiences during World War I. The collection also contains some materials relating to Joseph R. Walker, prominent Utah banker and businessman. Wicks was related to Walker by marriage.

The Feargus O'Connor Willden papers consist of an autobiography/diary of Feargus O'Connor Willden (1864-1878), autobiographical to 1878, then diary entries or transcription 1864-1868; family history to 1955 incorporating a typed transcription of the diary; papers related to an application for an Indian Wars veterans pension; a 1920 Indian Wars Veteran ribbon. Willden was a Utah Black Hawk War veteran and a resident of south-central Utah.
