Trimble served in World War II as an Army anti-aircraft officer in the South Pacific. Mr. Trimble joined the United States Geological Survey in 1946 and worked to map the western United States.

The John Werner Welland papers (1951-2000) consist of materials that focus on Welland's career in the United States Air Force. Included are correspondence, diplomas, medical and personnel records, passports, death records, and other papers. Welland (1933-1991) was born in New York and was one of many who became known as an "Atomic Veteran" due his work for the Air Force during the atmospheric nuclear testing program carried out by the United States in the 1940s to 1960s.

The Wendover Air Force Base collection consists of handwritten and photographic description of life at Wendover Air Force Base during 1944-1945 by Marguerite McQuiston, Special Services Hostess at the base. Also included are handwritten excerpts from books on the history of the town of Wendover, a reprint on the Western Pacific Railroad, and a 1972 map of the city of Elko, Nevada.

The autobiography was compiled in 2003 by Whitesides descendants and tells about his experience in the military, his missionary work, family life, and various activities.

The Bartlett Wicks papers (1871-1969) concentrate mainly on Wicks (1895-1981), a member of the American Ambulance Field Service, and his experiences during World War I. The collection also contains some materials relating to Joseph R. Walker, prominent Utah banker and businessman. Wicks was related to Walker by marriage.
Feargus O'Connor Willden papers
The Feargus O'Connor Willden papers consist of an autobiography/diary of Feargus O'Connor Willden (1864-1878), autobiographical to 1878, then diary entries or transcription 1864-1868; family history to 1955 incorporating a typed transcription of the diary; papers related to an application for an Indian Wars veterans pension; a 1920 Indian Wars Veteran ribbon. Willden was a Utah Black Hawk War veteran and a resident of south-central Utah.
