Abstract The Chadwin H. Peirce essay (1967) is titled "An Investigation of 'This is the Place' Monument Park." This essay was prepared for Mack Kesler's course on senior design at the University of Utah. It investigates the condemnation proceedings of the 177 acres of privately owned land east of the "This is the Place" Monument in Salt Lake City, Utah. Suggestions for future uses of the park are also discussed in the essay.
