Abstract The Owl Creek mining claim collection (1880s) contains hand-copied duplicates of letters between J. H. White and Felix Chapellet. The letters concern the operation and progress of the Owl Creek claim, tunnels built, lumber, and a discussion on selling the claim. Included in the collection are notes on ranches and other properties in the area, and a hand-drawn mine map. Owl Creek is located in Placer, California.

Abstract The Myron L. and Lucille P. Sutton papers (1872-1996) contain record journals, rolled drawings, blueprints, maps, aerial photos, news clippings, data sheets, and other materials mainly from Myron Sutton's career with the Morton Salt Company. Myron L. Sutton was an employee of the Morton Salt Company for many years until his retirement in 1973. He also served as a weather observer for the National Weather Service for over thirty years.
