Each structure is identified by address and in some cases owner at the time (1978). Photos are mounted on acidic posterboard and were used for a presentation to the Salt Lake City Council regarding property issues in the Avenues area

Scott D. McCoy (1970-) was a lawyer and activist for LGBTQ rights who served in the Utah State Senate from 2005 to 2009. He was the first openly gay person to serve in the Utah State Senate. This collection contains photographs related to McCoy's political career, promotional photographs, and photographs and copy prints collected by McCoy.

Dorothy Mortensen (1916-2014) was Managing Editor of Publication for the Utah State Historical Society. From 1970 to 1976, she worked in the correspondence section of the White House Staff, during which time she served as writer and editor for the President's Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. The Dorothy Mortensen photograph collection contains 89 slides and prints depicting Mortensen's family, acquaintances, and career dating from 1970 to 2009.

William Blaine Murdock (1902-1986) attended the University of Utah from 1919 to 1924, where he was one of the founders of the Sigma Nu fraternity and was elected President of Ute Days in 1924. The William Blaine Murdock photograph collection contains 10 black-and-white photographs of students whitewashing the U on Ute Days in 1924.

Almeron Newman (1875-1964) was a photographer in Trinidad, Colorado, and came to Salt Lake City in 1909 for the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) convention in August of that year. The Almeron Newman photograph collection consists of images of firemen, police, GAR vertans, women's groups, children, views of Salt Lake City, and US Army units at Fort Douglas.
