This collection houses a variety of cultural audio and video clips of East Carbon High School. Ranging from sporting events to school dances, the films and audio reels provide multiple first hand accounts of the high school from 1959 to 1980. The John A. Peperakis photograph collection contains photographs of local Utah mining operations, mining companies and the mines.

The John Peperakis papers (1913-1990) contains correspondence, mining information, and mostly maps that are hand-drawn, originals documenting mining (coal) areas in Utah and the Rocky Mountain areas. Peperakis was a mining engineer who was manager of Sunnyside Coal Mines, Utah for Kaiser Steel Corporation.

The Topaz Carbon County series audio recordings consists of interviews with people involved in the coal mining industry in Carbon County. This collection was previously part of the Ethnic archives oral history audio recordings collection (A0853).
