The bulk of this collection is comprised of photographs documenting the excavation of the area which is now Dinosaur National Monument, every stage of work is illustrated.

Abstract The Charles N. Strevell papers (1894-1943) contain correspondence, family history, essays, speeches, publications, art work, posters, pamphlets, brochures, news clippings, and other related materials. Strevell was one of the organizers of Strevell-Paterson Hardware Company and was the president for many years before his retirement in 1912. He became well known for his essay, "Dinosauropodes,"" which was published several times during the 1930s.
