Abstract The Jacob Johnson papers include a biography of Johnson written by his daughter, a photocopy of a speech before Congress in 1914, and a photocopy of Johnson's certificate of appointment to the bench of the Utah Territorial First District Court. Jacob Johnson was a Utah territorial era lawyer and judge and a Utah delegate to Congress. He practiced law in San Juan, Grand, and Emery counties, Utah.
