The Craig Gorder photograph collection contains one photograph of a skier in a race at Snowbird Ski resort. Craig Gorder was born in 1952 and was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had a career as a ski racer, racing professionally and for the U.S. Ski Team and the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.

The Craig Gorder papers (1961-1975) contain news clippings, articles, news releases, letters of recognition, personal letters, pamphlets, brochures and ski magazines pertaining to the life and skiing career of Craig Gorder. Gorder was born in 1952 and was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had a career as a ski racer, racing professionally and for the U.S. Ski Team and the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.

The Michael Joseph Gorrell papers (1871-2014) contain professional materials, Salt Lake Organizing Committees' General Assembly documents, newsletters, memorabilia, press releases and news clippings collected by Salt Lake Tribune reporter Mike Gorrell during the seven years (1995-2002) that he covered Salt Lake City's preparations for the 2002 Winter Olympics, as well as other materials collected throughout the course of Gorrell's journalistic career

The audio visual component of this collection is comprised of several relatively low quality but fascinating clips of hot rod related footage and several reels of 8mm home movie film relating to Utah and the Bonneville Salt Flats as well as Graham's late 1940s mission to New Zealand.

The Grand Canyon management plan collection (1967-1974) contains memoranda and correspondence concerning meeting reviews, new regulations, research requirements, and safety procedures in Grand Canyon National Park. These memorandua and letters were written by the government offices of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, and Grand Canyon National Park and sent to river running companies or vice versa.

The Grand Targhee Resort digital photograph collection consists of images depicting the history of this ski resort located in Wyoming.

The Ray Grass papers (1937-2011) consist of various competitive and recreational ski guides, programs, and articles collected by the sports writer.

The Great Salt Lake Yacht Club scrapbooks (1973-1995) consist of three scrapbooks related to the Great Salt Lake and the history of the yacht club. Included are clippings, newsletters, membership lists, announcements, programs, correspondence, and photographs. Also included is an oversize map of the Great Salt Lake south arm.

The Mike Grom photograph collection contains photographs of skiing at various resorts in Utah, such as: Solitude, Snowbird, Park West, Park City, Deer Valley, and Brighton. The collection also contains photos of Ski Utah license tag and back country skiing.

The Ole Gunderson photograph consists of one copy print (not the original image) of Ole and Julia Gunderson, along with a letter describing Ole Gunderson's role in the early skiing history of Park City. This collection is available online in our Digital Library.

The H. Guy Child Elementary School Olympic activities records (2002) contain a notebook of the preporatory events the school put on in anticipation of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, in 2002.

The Mike Hallacy photograph collection consists of digital scans of 28 black and white and one color print of the Green and Colorado Rivers. The originals were loaned to the University of Utah by Mike Hallacy in October 2003. They depict some of his river trips on the Green and Colorado Rivers with Reynolds-Hallacy River Expeditions.

The David Hanscom papers (1961-2008) contain materials and notes on the Wasatch Tours series which Hanscom co-authored. This collection also contains Olympic race materials, correspondence, Olympic Feasibility Committee materials, notes, Wasatch Citizens series materials, Utah Nordic Alliance newsletters and event materials, venue information, and ski posters and flyers.

The Albert S. Hansen papers (1962-1971) contain information, correspondence, membership material, and rosters of the Ski Utah Associates, as well as news articles, newsletters, and information about the Olympic Ski Club. Albert S. Hansen worked with the Ski Utah Association, and was a lifelong supporter of University of Utah athletics, and served as the Executive Director of the Intermountain Ski Association.

The Hatch River Expeditions records contain correspondence, logs, employment records and oral histories from the Hatch family. Robert Rafael "Bus" Hatch and his brothers, Alton and Tom, began boating in the Vernal, Utah area in the late 1920s and formed Hatch River Expeditions, one of the best known river outfitters in the western United States.

The Lex Hemphill papers (1924-2004) contain documents and research relating to his twenty-five-year career as a sports columnist with the Salt Lake Tribune. His papers consist of documents, research files, interview notes, and legal research pertaining to the controversial issues in Utah, the Olympics, professional and collegiate sports, and environmental and wilderness issues.

The Lacey Heward digital photograph collection consists of images of her skiing. Lacey Heward began skiing at age 15 when she got bored sitting in the lodge watching her family have fun skiing and snowboarding and decided to learn to ski. In 1999 she entered the National Ability Center's program in Park City to learn about mono-ski racing.

The Lyndall Heyer photograph consists of an image of the University of Utah Women's Ski Team.
