The Ernest H. Runyon papers (1884-1999) contain journals, correspondence, articles, publications, charts, notebooks, notes, research materials, conference materials, pamphlets, programs, and news clippings, mostly relating to Runyon's research on mycobacteria and tuberculosis. Runyon was a research microbiologist, specializing in tuberculosis related bacteria.

Pat Shea papers
The Pat Shea papers (1976-1994) contain correspondence, fax transmissions, articles, newsletters, pamphlets, brochures, notebooks, legislation materials, U. S. Senate materials, term reports, and news clippings related to the politics of Utah and the United States. Shea graduated from Harvard Law School, practiced law and served as counsel to the Foreign Relations Committee in the U.S. Senate. He ran as the Democratic candidate for governor of Utah in 1992.

Sheri Slaughter Utah pottery collection
The Sheri Slaughter Utah pottery collection (1858-2001) contains photocopies of articles and notes relating to the history of pottery in Utah, and a daily account book (1866-1888) and ledger (1881-1893) from the Eardley Brothers Pottery Company. Sheri Slaughter was a student and connoisseur of Utah pottery, and she collected this material as part of her interest in that subject.
William H. Smart diaries
The William H. Smart diaries (1886-1937 and 1979-1981) describe William activities as a Mormon missionary in Europe and as president of the Eastern States mission (1899-1900). They also describe his business activities in southeastern Idaho and eastern Utah as well as his town settlement and LDS Church activities. Included with the diaries are articles and clippings about his life.

Also included is correspondence of his parents, other relatives, and associates. Finally, the collection includes an assortment of printed materials such as newspaper clippings, booklets, and assorted souvenir items. The collection consists entirely of photocopies.
