The Lucy Coila Workman family papers consist mostly of correspondence home from George Pruce Simpson who was a soldier in the Spanish-American War. Includes two letters from Simpson's father to his mother (1850s) and a widow's pension application and certificate (1918).

The Francis Dunham Wormuth papers (1964-1988) contain drawings, correspondence, coursework, lectures, notes, organization materials, publications, and research files. Wormuth was a professor of political science at the University of Utah and an author.

The Phillip M. Wright collection (1940s-1970s) consists of materials concerning various mining companies in Utah and surrounding states. Included are correspondence, reports, agreements, prospecting information, and other papers. Phillip M. Wright (b. 1938) is a retired research faculty of the University of Utah.

The Edward Wyer family papers (1779-1978) consists of correspondence, genealogy research and historical memorabilia related to Edward Wyer and his descendants. The majority of the material was collected by James I. and his wife Leah O. Wyer, notable librarians in the 20th century. Portions of the collection are Wyer family-specific material, while other sections are of a broader scholarly/historical interest.

The Anand A. Yang papers (1942-1989) contain correspondence, newsletters, meeting minutes and agendas, news clippings, and publications related to Professor Anand A. Yang is a scholar of British India and active in Chinese cultural organizations in Utah.

The George and Yasuko Yasuda papers (1909-1941) contain photocopies of a biographical sketch, a letter and some photographs. The Yasudas were immigrants from Japan to the United States.

The Thomas J. and Lydia H. Yates papers (1888-1985) contain correspondence, biographies, and a penitentiary autograph book. Thomas Yates was an engineer and active in the Mormon Church.

The Lloyd R. Yeaton collection consists of correspondence, circulars, and news clippings relating to the uranium industry in Utah and surrounding states during the 1950s.

The Brigham Young papers (1857, 1876-1877, 1908) consist of documents relating to the religious and civic activities of Brigham Young. Included are correspondence, diaries (1837-1857), proclamations, three holograph pages from his will, and microfilm of letter books and official papers from his time as governor of Utah Territory (1849-1857). Brigham Young was the second leader of the LDS Church and was responsible for the movement of the Mormons to the Salt Lake Valley.

The Levi Edgar Young papers (1901-1963) consist of two journals, a book of pressed flowers, correspondence, and news clippings. Other miscellaneous papers are also included. Levi Edgar Young (1874-1963) was a Utah educator and member of the LDS Church's First Quorum of the Seventy.

The Rawlins B. Young papers (1979-1993) contain office files, memos, meeting minutes, agendas, correspondence, newsletters, and reports associated with Young's participation on the Salt Lake City Community Development Advisory Committee(DCAD). The collection also contains a Salt Lake County Real Estate Atlas, 1980 block census records for Salt Lake City, and a water quality survey conducted by the Sugarhouse Community Council in 1992.

The Richard Wright Young papers (1853-1986) are composed of drawings of three generations of Salt Lake City architects: Joseph Don Carlos Young, George Cannon Young, and Richard Wright Young. Some books from the library of Edward Partridge Young are also included. Included are personal and business records, correspondence, appointment books, and drawings done by each architect.

The Willard Young letter (1868) is handwritten and signed and speaks of local events in Salt Lake City. The letter mentions Brigham Young's recent marriages to Mary Vancott and Ann Eliza Webb. Willard Young was the son of Brigham and Clarissa Ross Young, West Point graduate and engineer.

The Francis H. Zimbeaux correspondence (1962-1987) consists primarily of correspondence written from Lukman Glasgow, a California sculptor, to Francis H. Zimbeaux, a Utah artist in Salt Lake City. It also contains 1 letter writen by Zimbeaux to Glasgow and 2 letters of general correspondence.

The Zion Easter Pageant collection (1938-1941) consist of a pageant script written by Grant H. Redford, letters of support, and two issues of the Utah Magazine devoted to the pageant.
