Lucy Coila Workman family papers
The Lucy Coila Workman family papers consist mostly of correspondence home from George Pruce Simpson who was a soldier in the Spanish-American War. Includes two letters from Simpson's father to his mother (1850s) and a widow's pension application and certificate (1918).

Brigham Young papers
The Brigham Young papers (1857, 1876-1877, 1908) consist of documents relating to the religious and civic activities of Brigham Young. Included are correspondence, diaries (1837-1857), proclamations, three holograph pages from his will, and microfilm of letter books and official papers from his time as governor of Utah Territory (1849-1857). Brigham Young was the second leader of the LDS Church and was responsible for the movement of the Mormons to the Salt Lake Valley.

The Levi Edgar Young papers (1901-1963) consist of two journals, a book of pressed flowers, correspondence, and news clippings. Other miscellaneous papers are also included. Levi Edgar Young (1874-1963) was a Utah educator and member of the LDS Church's First Quorum of the Seventy.

Rawlins B. Young papers
The Rawlins B. Young papers (1979-1993) contain office files, memos, meeting minutes, agendas, correspondence, newsletters, and reports associated with Young's participation on the Salt Lake City Community Development Advisory Committee(DCAD). The collection also contains a Salt Lake County Real Estate Atlas, 1980 block census records for Salt Lake City, and a water quality survey conducted by the Sugarhouse Community Council in 1992.

The Richard Wright Young papers (1853-1986) are composed of drawings of three generations of Salt Lake City architects: Joseph Don Carlos Young, George Cannon Young, and Richard Wright Young. Some books from the library of Edward Partridge Young are also included. Included are personal and business records, correspondence, appointment books, and drawings done by each architect.
Willard Young letter
The Willard Young letter (1868) is handwritten and signed and speaks of local events in Salt Lake City. The letter mentions Brigham Young's recent marriages to Mary Vancott and Ann Eliza Webb. Willard Young was the son of Brigham and Clarissa Ross Young, West Point graduate and engineer.
