Pete Karns digital photograph collection

Abstract

The Pete Karns digital photograph collection contains images of Karns and other skiers training for, and competing in, the biathlon during the 1972 Olympic Winter Games. Photographs of Karns and others playing soccer, biking, and images of the 1964-1967 University of Utah ski teams are also included. The collection consists entirely of digital scans.

Keele taught Organizational Behavior at Brigham Young University from 1978 to 1991 and became the Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of Utah from 1991 to 1996, where she has also taught Management. She has published on topics regarding women, gender, and leadership.

Ansel A. Knowlton photograph collection

Ansel A. Knowlton (1876-1957) was a professor of Physics at the University of Utah from 1909 to 1915. In 1915, Knowlton was one of four University of Utah professors whose contracts were not renewed, sparking a controversy about academic freedom at the U. Knowlton continued his career at Reed College in Oregon, where he taught from 1916 until retiring in 1948. This collection contains one portrait of Knowlton.
