The Arthur L. Chaffin photographs contains materials concerning Chaffin's owning and operating of the Chaffin Ferry and his mining career. Arthur L. Chaffin operated the ferry across the Colorado River at Hite, Utah until the site was covered by Lake Powell in the 1960s. He was also extensively involved in mining in southeastern Utah.

Ivard Ritchie Rogers (1915-1988) served in World War II and was an outdoorsman and river runner. He worked for the Utah Bureau of Investigation, including 20 years service as director. This collection includes black-and-white and color slides depicting Rogers' military service and images of his friends and family. Also included are photos of Southern Utah and Utah national parks, river running, and the Green, Colorado, and Yampa rivers.

The Frederick Hoffman Wood photograph collection consists of 35mm color transparencies and color prints taken by Fred Wood that document his participation in the 1955-56 Hatch-Eggert River Expedition. The purpose of this expedition down the Green and Colorado Rivers was to photograph and film the river canyons before construction started on the dams at Flaming Gorge and Glen Canyon.
