McMurrin papers (1830-2001) chronicle McMurrin's life as family man, student, educator, administrator, U.S. Commissioner of Education, philosopher, observer and critic of Western culture and religion, and participant in LDS culture. The papers (1830-2006) consist of correspondence, scrapbooks, daily planners, interviews, academic materials, governmental papers, speeches, lectures, publications, manuscripts, and awards.
