This collection (1852-1956) contains biographical materials, correspondence, and manuscripts on the Mountain Meadows Massacre, histories of Orderville and Silver Reef, City Creek and Ensign Peak. Includes published articles by Pendleton.

The Henry P. Plenk papers (1952-1987) contain correspondence, articles written by Plenk, typescripts, interviews, and other documents pertaining to Plenk's book, Medicine in the Beehive State.

The Lewis M. Rogers papers (1940s-1990s) consist of the office and teaching files of Rogers, a University of Utah philosophy professor. Included are articles, essays, class materials, correspondence, and other papers.

The Richard-Gabriel Rummonds papers (1683-2016) contain the author's research, drafts, notes, and references for his two-volume set, Nineteenth-Century Printing Practices and the Iron Handpress(2004), and his memoir, Fantasies & Hard Knocks: My Life as a Printer (2014). Also included are business materials related to Plain Wrapper Press and Ex Ophidia, personal materials, and collected memorabilia.

The Salamander collection (1829-2000) consist of interview notes, news clippings, publications, investigative information, and other materials used by Linda Sillitoe and Allen Roberts in their book Salamander: The Story of the Mormon Forgery Murders, a book about the 1985 bombing deaths of two Salt Lake City residents.

The Lynn Stegner papers (1977-1997) consist primarily of her manuscript drafts, some with critiques, notes, and research materials. It also contains correspondence.

The Page Stegner papers (1969-2001) consist of manuscript drafts, finished manuscripts, galleys, published essays, interviews, correspondence, and news articles. This collection also contains drafts through page proofs of Marking the Sparrow's Fall: Wallace Stegner's American West, with an introduction written by Page Stegner.

The S. Lyman Tyler papers (circa 1694-1973) consists of evidentiary files from Pima-Maricopa decision of 1962 (Indian Claims Commission Docket No.228) and hearing transcripts; drafts of Tyler's books; drafts of books by others; research files on Western Indian tribes; clippings from newspapers throughout the United States concerning American Indian tribes.

The N. J. Van Steenberg papers (circa 1935) consist of two carbon copies with corrections of the paper "Factors in the Learning Behavior of the Albino Rat." Also included is a letter and notes.

The Richard S. Van Wagoner papers (1797-2008) contain a record of Van Wagoner's historical research and writing. Correspondence and other papers are also included. Richard Van Wagoner is a clinical audiologist and Utah LDS historian and author.

The Glenn M. Vernon papers (circa 1940-1989) contain research files, drafts, and other preparatory material for Vernon's scholarly writing and teaching, as well as documents providing information on his academic career. Vernon was a professor of sociology at the University of Utah during the 1970s.

The Don D. Walker papers (1883-1980) consist of various items relating to western history. Included are correspondence concerning research activities, issues of "The possible sack" (1970-1974), clippings, a typescript of "The Virginian" by Owen Wister, materials relating to Andy Adams, "The poetry of Thomas Hornsby Ferril" by Robert Fulton Richards, and a journal and account book of sheriff's offices in California (1883-1886).

The J. Nile Washburn papers (1990s) consist of a manuscript draft and several articles by Washburn regarding the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included in the collection is a timeline chart depicting religious events. Mr. Washburn taught for the Department of Education of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
