The Japanese American Citizens League digital photograph collection contains materials realted to Japanese American Citizens League events, veterans, miners, railroad workers, and others.

The Japanese American relocation photograph collection consists of photographs depicting conditions at the Tule Lake camp at Newell, California and the lives and activities of the Japanese Americans confined in the camp.

The Japanese Church of Christ photograph collection contains images of church buildings, members, leaders, organizations, and friends of the church ranging from 1910 to 1980. The majority of the early images in the Japanese Church of Christ collection were taken from the Hirasawa family album.

The Japanese Oral Histories photograph collection contains photographs of Japanese Americans in and around a munitions warehouse.

Boyer Jarvis (1923-2019) was a professor and administrator at the University of Utah and an activist. The Joseph Boyer Jarvis photograph collection contains images of Jarvis' family, career, and activism from about 1960 to 2000.

Eugene Jelesnik (1914-1999) was a musician, composer, conductor, and television personality. Jelesnik founded the Salt Lake Philharmonic Orchestra and worked as host of the television show Talent Showcase for KSL. This collection contains portraits of musicians and bands associated with Jelesnik during his career.

The Devereaux Jennings digital photograph collection consists of a portrait photograph of Devereaux Jennings given to attendees at his memorial service in 2000. Also included in the collection is a photographs of Jennings skiing. These images are digital only.

Julie Jensen is an award-winning playwright who taught playwriting at multiple universities and workshops. Born in Utah, in 2014 Jensen moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to serve as resident playwright for the Salt Lake Acting Company; she has also been affiliated with Salt Lake City's Plan-B Theatre and Pygmalion Theatre. This collection contains photographs and slides documenting Jensen's career as a playwright, including photographs of numerous stage productions of her work.

This collection contains photographs of Katrina Terzian Jensen during her time as a student at the University of Utah and member of the Ski Team, from about 1985 to 1986. The images depict skiing competitions and student life of Katrina and her teammates.

The Ernest and Dora Jeppsen photograph collection consists of images of winter scenes and recreational activities.

The Jewish Archives photograph collection contains photographs of individuals and groups prominent in the Utah Jewish community. The collection also includes a filmstrip entitled: Jews in Utah, 1857-1977.

Grant Johannesen (1921-2005) was an internationally famous pianist. The Grant Johannesen photograph collection contains portraits and candid photographs of Johannesen and photographs of his performances dating from approximately 1940 to the 1990s.

Claude Johnson was a photographer for Deseret News for 33 years from approximately 1947 to 1980. This collection contains 61 black-and-white negatives of photographs taken by Johnson of the University of Utah campus in the 1970s.

The Dick Harold Johnson digital photograph collection focuses on river rafting on the Green and Colorado Rivers and boating on Lake Powell. The middle section of the collection contains images of the Colorado River, pre Lake Powell and the filling of the Lake.

The Howard D. Johnson photograph collection contains images taken during an atomic bomb test in 1952, and photographs of early radio equipment. Also included in the collection are family photographs. Johnson was a pioneer in Utah radio broadcasting and engineering.

The Ted Johnson digital photograph collection includes still images from his participation in the movie, Stir Crazy. Also included are images of Johnson skiing and general photographs. These images are digital only; either born digital or scanned and returned. The library does not have the originals.

The Willis D. Johnson photograph collection contains images related to his family and river-rafting/adventurer career. Included are photos of both reservoir-free Glen Canyon and the Crossing of the Fathers on the Colorado River.

The Sara Barnard Johnston photograph collection consists of images of Sara Barnard Johnston; includes two images of Wallace Stegner.

The Claude F. Jones digital photograph collection consists of digtial images related to Claude and the Jones family skiing, with particular attention to the Idaho area. Included are items realted to Magic Mountain Ski Area, which Jones founded in 1940.

The Leslie A. Jones photograph collection contains images of river running trips and recreation. Leslie A. Jones is a civil engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah who has been active as a river runner for many years. He has also made several contributions to canoe and kayak design.
