The Steven and Connie Faria collection on the Tintic Mining District and western mining (1887-1984) contains materials from the Chief Consolidated Mining Company, along with materials from various mining companies. Included in the collection are stockholders materials, annual reports, administrative materials and correspondence.
John Hoagland avalanche publications collection
The John Hoagland avalanche publications collection (1933-1990) contains published technical reports and monographs mostly from the United States Forest Service on avalanche research and the impact of avalanches on alpine skiing. Included are manuals for the National Avalance School sponsored by the Forest Service, as well as technical reports relating to avalanche control. Hoagland is a winter recreation specialist for the United States Forest Service.
Inventories to the XV Winter Olympic Games
The inventories to the XV Winter Olympic Games (1984-1988) consist of inventories to the records of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games. The collection contains nine spiral bound books that descripe the records of PR-90-001, held in 620 containers in the City of Calgary Archives, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This collection also includes several promotional pamphlets, training materials, and other documents produced in conjunction with the 1988 Winter Olympic Games.
Ewald Kipp papers
The Ewald Kipp papers (1880-1980s) contain materials relating to Ewald Kipp (1899-1970s), a mining engineer who worked for various mining and smelting companies in Utah and surrounding states. Included are correspondence, notebooks, day planners, and documents concerning Kipp's career as an mining engineer, various organizations he belonged to, and his extracurricular activities.
John W. Summerhays papers
The John W. Summerhays (1890-1980) papers consist mainly of military records and publications related to the United States Army and the Selective Service. The collection also contains a limited amount of materials concerning Summerhays' civilian life. Also included is a sizeable European postcard collection from the 1910s.

The Ewart A. Swinyard papers (1940-1988) contain laboratory notebooks, teaching material, articles, personal files, sophomore clinic preparations, handbooks, committee and research reports, meeting minutes, annual reports, and University of Utah medical information. Swinyard was a pharmaceutical researcher and a professor of pharmacology at the University of Utah.
Utah Parents for Gifted and Talented Children records
This collection (1971-1984) consists of documents relating to the Utah Parents for Gifted and Talented Children (Utah Parent Association for the Gifted and Talented). Included are documents that relate to gifted children and the associated school and home education.
Ute Alpine Club records
The Ute Alpine Club records (1959-1981) include a history, constitution, manuals, articles, writings, and other papers regarding the activities of this Utah club. Originally formed as a ski club in 1954, the Ute Alpine Club became known as a club in which members were involved in all types of outdoor activities. As of 1981, unable to compete with other outdoor services, the club focused on advertising its social benefits.
