The Beehive House Restoration Committee records (1897-1964) consist of records of the committee and tour materials prepared by the committee containing historical information on this Brigham Young residence in Salt Lake City. Included are a list of period items placed in the home, a chronology of the restoration effort, a tour script, and a script for a slide presentation on the building. Also included is a news clipping from 1897 describing the home.

The Philip T. Blair family papers (1836-1968) contain pertinent information concerning the early development of the LDS Church as well as covering an important epoch in early Utah history. It describes the social, religious, economic, and political development of the state through correspondence, documents, and memorabilia. Boxes 1-9 have been digitized and are available online.

The Brigham Young Diary photograph collection contains photographs used in the book entitled: Diary of Brigham Young, 1857 published in 1980. Included are portraits, photographs of buildings in Salt Lake City, and photographs of manuscript materials.

Marsena Cannon (1812-1900) was a daguerreotypist who migrated to Salt Lake City in 1850; he is credited as Utah's first commercial photographer. This collection contains photographs of Cannon, his family, and a photograph of Brigham Young dating from approximately 1867 to 1870.

The Fred C. Collier papers (1880, 1973) consist of research materials regarding the discourses of Brigham Young; a trypescript and photocopy of a LDS phraseology scrapbook from 1854; a written treatise by Collier entitled "Gospel of the Father" volume 1, and "The Mormon God," volume 2; and a handwritten 1880 revelation of Wilford Woodruff.

The Alfred Cumming papers (1857-1865) consist of a microfilm copy of personal and official correspondence and a letterpress book relating to Cumming's service as Governor of Utah Territory, 1858-1861. Includes letters from Thomas L. Kane, Brigham Young, and his wife, Elizabeth Cumming; Cumming's personal record of those fleeing east from Utah while wintering with the Utah Expedition at Camp Scott, Wyoming; scrapbooks of national clippings from Cumming's term of office.

The Edna Clark Ericksen photograph collection contains photographs of Edna Ericksen in various activities; slides of the unveiling of the Brigham Young Statue in the Capitol Building, Washington, D.C.

The Carolyn Hunsaker papers (1991, 2008) consist of two biographies written by Hunsaker in 1991 and 2008: "Dear Father..." The Life of Clara Fedarata Stenhouse Young Agramonte and Life History of Clarence Horace Montgomerie y Agramonte.

The H.W. Isaacson letter (1862) discusses his experience working in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Rhett Stephens James essay is an undated paper by James entitled "A Nineteenth Century Indian Self-help Program: Brigham Young and the Shoshones."

The Scott G. Kenney collection (1820-1984) reflects the research interests of Scott G. Kenney during the 1970s and early 1980s for a projected biography of Joseph F. Smith (1838-1901). The collection consists of typescripts made by Kenney, as well as photocopies of diaries and letters. Scott G. Kenney (b. 1946) is a historical researcher, a writer, and a musician.

The Frederick Kesler papers (1829-1985) consist of record books, daybooks, diaries, newspaper clippings, printed materials, photographs, books, and personal artifacts. Kesler was a mill-wright and bishop of Salt Lake 16th Ward. Click here to view the digitized items from the collection.

The C. Lowell and Georgiana T. Lees papers (1883-1998) contain materials used or collected by the Lees that document their family history and C. Lowell Lees's interest and professional activities in the theater at the University of Utah, Rutgers University, California's Pasadena Playhouse, government agencies during the Great Depression and World War II, commercial theater, and other institutions.

This collection contains letters (1831-1894) concerning various events in Utah history. Included are letters from Brigham Young to Thomas W. Ellerbeck; and one letter from Daniel H. Wells to Brig. Gen. W. B. Pace. Also included is a poem entitled "To Emma by S. M. Kimball;" certificates; two diaries; deeds; and other family letters.

The H. Michael Marquardt papers (1800-2017) contains correspondence, clippings, diary copies, scholarly articles, miscellaneous research materials on topics in LDS history and theology. Marquardt is a historian and author.

The Robert Marsham diary (1864-1865) consists of a photocopy of the original diary. Marsham was a well-known explorer, and in this diary he describes his travels in Northern California, British Columbia, Yosemite, Idaho, Utah, the Sandwich Islands, and the Far East. Access to original diary restricted except with permission of the Manuscripts Curator.

The Madeline R. McQuown papers (1803-1976) contain some of McQuown's research and works. While the collection does contain some of McQuown's more personal works, such as some of her poetry, the collection deals mainly with her research. Her research was focused on Brigham Young and the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the LDS Church).
