Scope and Contents

1951 was the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in Box Elder County, Utah. It was also the year a monument was dedicated in Promontory, Utah to commemorate the completion of the transcontinental railroad in 1869. Goodman wrote several articles about these celebrations and the histories behind them.
