Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Mark Lindsey papers (1851-1997) holds various documents regarding this Mormon pioneer and Utah businessman, primarily his journals from 1851 to 1872 and 1890 to 1896. Included in box 1 are a small number of documents reflecting various personal events; writings thought to be a remnant of an early Lindsey journal; documents reflecting Lindsey's business endeavors in Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah; and other items. Four of Lindsey's journals (which also hold additional documents pasted inside) are housed in box 2, as is an annotated transcription of these journals that was prepared by his descendants and completed in 1997.
