Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The R. Kent Fielding papers (1840-1998) consist of correspondence, teaching materials, lectures, maps, and Fielding's writings along with the research materials he gathered for them. Robert Kent Fielding (b. 1920) was a former student and member of the department of history at Brigham Young University. The collection reflects his interest in the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), as well as his transition from a practicing member of the LDS Church to a secular humanist in 1960.
